A Long Awaited Update + My Current Everyday Look

Wow! I haven’t been blogging for awhile. Logged back on, and I can’t believe it’s been almost 2 years since my last blog! As a poor student, I couldn’t afford to purchase anymore make up. So, cutting myself off from all this meant no temptation to spend and buy more and more stuff I didn’t really need. Living on my own really has it’s ups and downs. Kids… if you want to save money, stay with your parents! LOL

I’m back, and lurking here and there, and yes… I still work on film sets, but it’s definitely not something I’ll do forever. I’m hoping to go back to school this September, just waiting for those acceptance letters! Wish me luck!

Anyways, enough about my life, and on with the beauty stuff =]

My current everyday look is pretty simple, I can finish my make up in 5 minutes if I’m in a hurry. Sometimes, I’d go to parties with the same look, just intensified.

Products I use

**Lancome – Teint Idole Ultra (Oil-free, 14-hr Retouch free)
Shade – Bisque 3
LOVE LOVE LOVE! I’m lazy, with combo skin. Working long hrs, this is PERFECT for me. I don’t get oily with this product, and it stays TRUE to it’s 14 hr promise, I’ve never had to retouch my face with this foundation. Notice how there’s no concealer product in my everyday collection? I don’t need it. This is how amazing this foundation is. 1 pump is all I need, sometimes I don’t even use a full pump … 5/5

**NARS blush
Shade – Luster & Deep Throat
I find Orgasm is a bit too light, so I prefer Deep Throat. I did a review on these blushes awhile back. These 2 shades are my faves. I put Luster on for the peachy undertone, then just a dab of deep throat for colour.

**STILA Goddess Eyeshadow Trio
**Lavshuca BR-2 Eyeshadow palette
I switch in between these 2 palettes from day to day depending on which one I pull out first in my make up bag. I love both of them. Stila gives me a more bronze look, and Lavshuca is brown. This Stila trio has made me love Stila products even more. Eyeshadows tend to crease on me… this one I’ve had no problems with, lasts ALL day. It’s creamy, very pigmented, overall 5/5! Generally I pick 2 shades – light shade on inner half, and darker shade on outer half, creating a very natural smokey eye.

**COVERGIRL LASH BLAST Volume Waterproof
2 words – HOLY GRAIL. It’s cheap, holds my curl (# 1 rule about my mascaras), results are better than most of the higher end mascaras out there.

Purples…..

Me + purple… so predictable!  Here’s another purple look I did.  This time, it’s a bit less dramatic, more on the chic side, I’d say.

I only used 2 colours here =] MAC Satin Taupe on lid and Nocturnelle on lower lash line.  Then the rest of the same old routine… liner + mascara haha  That’s basically it!

EOTD – Simple Blue

 

Blue is not an easy color to wear, but Lancome’s Luring e/s is beautiful.  It’s more like a duochrome – blueish purple, but it looks more blue.

I used MAC’s Tete-A-Tint first, and then I put Lancome’s Luring on top.  Then I lined my eyes and went over the lid with another layer of Luring, so you don’t see black as a liner.  Nice and Subtle =]

Collective Swap Haul + FOTD

For these past two weeks, I've been uber excited about getting my mail. I'm loving my swaps! Skinfood! I can't wait to try them. I think they should start opening some branches in North America!
I can't wait to head to the MAC store now with the gift card. =] I really want to try out their new Studio Sculpt foundation, but I don't really have the time to go shopping now with midterms just around the corner =/. The Castledew palette is super duper cute. Why can't American companies come out with pretty packaging?

I actually did a look today using the palette. The colours are very sheer, with a little shimmer in them. Perfect for everyday looks.

For the cheeks I used Nars Outlaw. And for the lips, I used MAC's Marquise D' lipstick and She Loves Candy lipglass. Now, it's just me being silly hehe.

Has any of you tried the new MAC foundation? Love it? Hate it?

Quick and Easy Everyday Look

Here's something I think many of you ladies can relate to...

Your alarm clock rings, but you just can't bring yourself to get up and get out of bed. When you finally get out of bed, you realize you have less than half an hour to get ready and leave the house. This *always* happens to me. Lately, I've been sporting this look. It takes me less than 10 minutes in the morning. =]

What I used:

*Cheeks*
MAC Fun & Games

*Eyes [MAC e/s]*
Satin Taupe
All that Glitters
Shroom
L'oreal Voluminous mascara

*Lips [MAC]*

Hug Me l/s
Pinkerat Dazzleglass

The lip colours and blush is just what I chose today. Generally, any light peachy/pink blush will do (it'll really help brighten up the face) and any neutral lip colours will do. Here's how I do it...

Start with the darkest colour, and put it on the outer corner (Satin Taupe)
Tip: Starting with the darkest colour, you don't have to worry about making mistakes. I use my lighter colours and blend. =] Blending is *key*.

Use the middle shade (All That Glitters), and put it all over on the inner 2/3 of the lid. Blend it into the darker shade.

Lastly, use the lightest shade (Shroom), and put it under the brow bone, and blend out all the harsh lines. Put on some eyeliner, mascara, and blush! VOILA... done! ... Easy =]

Ready to go for lunch with some friends, then head to the library to study. =] Toodles!
