What was she thinking?

I came across this picture surfing the internet this weekend.  She’s Joey Yung (a Hong Kong superstar).  What’s up with those glasses??!!  They’re probably the most hideous frames I’ve ever seen! Blah! They don’t do justice with her face either because the attention just goes to the thick frames. Errr… I’m not to fond of the pattern of her sweater either.  The first thing that popped up in my mind seeing that was ‘blood’.  Maybe it’s just me watching too much CSI. haha I love that show!

Another Food Porn Post + Some Ramblings…

I’ll start off with my drink… haha (Cosmopoliton) mmm…

Now… lots and lots of food pictures…. hahaha I Love taking pix of food.  I don’t know why.  But I always do it when I go eat out. =]  I’m a bit jumpy and hyper right now because I had too much dessert.  Seeing some highschool friends that I haven’t seen in like forever totally made my day!  We had some great laughs.  We were actually really loud. hehe  I actually felt out of place when we were taking some pictures because I was so tall compared to everyone else lol.  I was wearing my silver stilletos… hehe me love me stilletos…

 

My lasagna… mmm This plate was freaken GIGANTO!  I couldn’t finish the whole thing, and the bf had a few bites too!… This was what I couldn’t stuff in anymore…  I was soo soo full!  This dish is more like a 2 person meal!

The bf’s four cheese chicken.  I don’t even know what it’s called.  The chicken… delicious… =]  I kind of stole a piece off of him hehehe

The service we got from them was very GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.  Yes… I gotta describe it as GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!  We were at West50.  It’s part of a chain of restaurant that is ranked way up there.  So… you’d expect the service to be exceptional… but… ummm…………… NO!

We got kicked out… at 9pm because they had made another reservation in that room.  The other party in the same room also got kicked out.  And what’s so vexing about it is the way they handled it.  First of all… big parties… I don’t think they should have reserved parties back to back at the same tables!  One of our friends came late… she ordered her food, and when it came… the waitress told us we had 15 minutes left. WHAT?! We also asked for the dessert menu and it took them 15 minutes to get us the menu… and when the menus finally came… we had like 10 minutes left… so what’s the point?  A few minutes later… the waitress asked if we wanted to order dessert to go… um??? no??? One of my friends was so funny.  She said, “What? Does she expect us to eat our dessert in the car while we drive?” Ok… my point is… if they were going to kick us out… at least come tell us maybe half an hour in advance and give us the dessert menu quicker! And instead of making us pack up our food… maybe actually tell us that we have to be out by 9pm, and asked if we still wanted to order… That would have been nice!

But whatever… crappy service means no going back… less business for them.  We decided to head to Boston Pizza for dessert.  That’s where we got really loud and laughed non stop for maybe half an hour!  I had my workout of the day.  I was in tears from hard laughter!  The dessert was delicious!  We actually ordered 4/5 desserts from the menu and just decided to share it amongst ourselves.  Awesome idea! I love the idea of being able to have a little bit of everything and trying everything out LOL

This was some Lemon cake thingy.  I forgot what it’s called.  But I’m loving the swirls as decor on the side.  It looks too pretty to eat.

 

Chocolate brownie, with vanilla ice-cream.  Ok I can care less about the ice cream… but who doesn’t love a soft, gooey, chocolatie warm brownie melting in their mouth?? Drooling yet? hahaha

Apple crumble… This one was probably my favourite of the four!  I think it’s because I love apples!  mmmm I want some more! hahaha

New York cheesecake… more swirls! Pretty =]

Ramblings #2... Need opinion...

*sigh* Sometimes I really despise commuting. When traffic is running smoothly, and the subway is free of troubles... it takes me an hour and a half to get to school =[ Lately, the TTC has had so many troubles. On my way to school, there was a delay ... again ... They announced it as 'due to security issues'. That got me thinking. The last 2 times they announced that, it was related to shootings that occured. And not too long ago, a girl was pushed onto the tracks when the train was coming. Then I remembered an article I read in the newspaper maybe 2 weeks ago. Some guy was shot after getting off the bus because he 'butted' the line! I was shocked when I read that. If you read the Toronto Metro, you probably know what story I'm talking about. What has this world become? It's full of violence these days =[

It took me 3 hours to get home today! It's rediculous. It's worse than going home during a big snow storm. My record was 4 hours... Commuting really sucks. They were having some signaling problems today, and the train would inch its way through the stops, and stay at each stop for like 10 minutes grrrrrrr. I was going home around rush hour, and the train was so packed. I need my space... *sigh* I think it's time the TTC had an extreme makeover! LOL

Aside from my commuting problems, something happened today during my midterm, which really annoyed me. I don't know if I should let my prof know about it, or if I should just forget about it. What do you girls (or guys) think? I figure most my readers will be girls. hehe

So I was writing my midterm today, and someone's phone went off for maybe a second, and it stopped. The next thing I knew, the TA was holding up a pink phone and was asking whose phone it was. Now, I didn't recognize the ringtone as being mine, as I like to use unique ones so I know my phone is ringing. That's just me. So I didn't pay much attention to the TA since I didn't recognize the ringtone. Then, the TA says she was gonna throw the phone in the garbage... she walks outside of the test room, puts the phone on top of the garbage and comes back in. Now what really vexes me is that happened to be MY phone that she grabbed from MY PURSE. And it wasn't even my phone ringing. I know because I didn't even have that melody on my phone! GRR So the TA asked if the bag was mine when I finished my test, and then she threatened me saying if my phone ever rings again, she will throw it in the garbage. Plus, I was sure my phone is on vibrate. She asked me why I didn't speak up when she asked whose phone it was, and honestly I was too busy doing my on thing, then to pay attention to to her question after an unrecognized ringtone goes off. I didn't want to argue with her because there were still people writing the test, so I just told her I didn't really pay attention when she asked the question. I double checked if I got any missed calls or messages, and I got none! So clearly... it wasn't my phone!

I find it so wrong to go through someone's purse, and then threatening to throw their things in the garbage. Was she even sure it was my phone? I was sure it wasn't mine! I mean it did ring only ring for a second... so by the time she even got to where all the bags are... it stopped. What makes her think it was my phone? Is it because it was visible in the side pocket? Argh... this is rediculous. What do you guys think? Should I let my prof know??
