Quick update

I haven’t been doing many makeup related posts recently.  But I haven’t been doing much.  Aside from having tests and such, I’ve decided I’d start running again.  *gasps* Cathy exercising?? *gasps* haha I started last year, but I got really lazy and stopped.  I need to get back in shape for the summer =[  So these past 2 weeks, I’ve started running again.  I’m proud of myself! lol  I’m in so much pain right now though haha.

Because I go out for runs and such, I don’t even bother with make up.  I wear BB Cream to even out my skintone (much needed) lol, eyeliner (MUFE Aqua eyes), and mascara.  Nothing really interesting.

Actually, this really let me test out my favourite drugstore mascara… L’Oreal Voluminous.  After going out for a run… not a smudge… Not one bit!!!  The MUFE Aqua eye liner… As long as I don’t wing it out, it doesn’t smudge.  It seems to transfer onto the bottom lash line when I wing it out =[.  Still haven’t found a liner that really stays! Grrr…

So that’s what I’ve been up to for the past 2 weeks! Let’s hope I can keep this up!  =]  But not today… it’s all cloudy and wet and rainy … and just plain gross outside …  Plus I think Ghost Whisperer is on tonight, so I’ll be watching that!  And studying for my final test for Anatomy for Monday!!! woot woot… semester’s almost done! Job hunting… oh yea… I’ve been doing that too! So hard to find a job these days.  I figured I could just work at Tim Hortons for the summer.  They are practically ALWAYS hiring.  4 months?  I think I can put up with it…  I’ve put up with a LOT of crap… lol

I promised someone I’d be doing a review on Lash Stiletto this week.  I forgot who.  *Sorriezzz …..*   But I’m really refusing to look like a raccoon after I go out for a run.  I’ve been running at the school gym… so looking like a raccoon is not really an option HAHA.  Yes that mascara… I don’t like.  I will do a post on it with pictures and such next week.  I PROMISE…. =]  Sorry!!

EOTD – Neutrals + Thick smudged liner

Just a quick post today.  This is a REALLY quick look.  I did this look in about 5 minutes, and was out the door. =]

  

What I used:

MAC:
Rubenesque Paintpot
All that Glitters
Woodwinked
Shroom
Black Tied
Fluidline in Blacktrack
L’oreal Voluminous Mascara

What I did:

1) Rubenesque all over lid
2) Line top lash line and outer half of bottom lash line (doesn’t have to be precise)
3) All that Glitters over lid
4) Woodwinked at outer corner
5) Black Tied over liner and really smudge it out (used MAC 219 brush)
6) Shroom to highlight
7) Mascara

What was she thinking?

I came across this picture surfing the internet this weekend.  She’s Joey Yung (a Hong Kong superstar).  What’s up with those glasses??!!  They’re probably the most hideous frames I’ve ever seen! Blah! They don’t do justice with her face either because the attention just goes to the thick frames. Errr… I’m not to fond of the pattern of her sweater either.  The first thing that popped up in my mind seeing that was ‘blood’.  Maybe it’s just me watching too much CSI. haha I love that show!

What do you guys think about her look?

Another Food Porn Post + Some Ramblings…

I’ll start off with my drink… haha (Cosmopoliton) mmm…

Now… lots and lots of food pictures…. hahaha I Love taking pix of food.  I don’t know why.  But I always do it when I go eat out. =]  I’m a bit jumpy and hyper right now because I had too much dessert.  Seeing some highschool friends that I haven’t seen in like forever totally made my day!  We had some great laughs.  We were actually really loud. hehe  I actually felt out of place when we were taking some pictures because I was so tall compared to everyone else lol.  I was wearing my silver stilletos… hehe me love me stilletos…

 

My lasagna… mmm This plate was freaken GIGANTO!  I couldn’t finish the whole thing, and the bf had a few bites too!… This was what I couldn’t stuff in anymore…  I was soo soo full!  This dish is more like a 2 person meal!

The bf’s four cheese chicken.  I don’t even know what it’s called.  The chicken… delicious… =]  I kind of stole a piece off of him hehehe

The service we got from them was very GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.  Yes… I gotta describe it as GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!  We were at West50.  It’s part of a chain of restaurant that is ranked way up there.  So… you’d expect the service to be exceptional… but… ummm…………… NO!

We got kicked out… at 9pm because they had made another reservation in that room.  The other party in the same room also got kicked out.  And what’s so vexing about it is the way they handled it.  First of all… big parties… I don’t think they should have reserved parties back to back at the same tables!  One of our friends came late… she ordered her food, and when it came… the waitress told us we had 15 minutes left. WHAT?! We also asked for the dessert menu and it took them 15 minutes to get us the menu… and when the menus finally came… we had like 10 minutes left… so what’s the point?  A few minutes later… the waitress asked if we wanted to order dessert to go… um??? no??? One of my friends was so funny.  She said, “What? Does she expect us to eat our dessert in the car while we drive?” Ok… my point is… if they were going to kick us out… at least come tell us maybe half an hour in advance and give us the dessert menu quicker! And instead of making us pack up our food… maybe actually tell us that we have to be out by 9pm, and asked if we still wanted to order… That would have been nice!

But whatever… crappy service means no going back… less business for them.  We decided to head to Boston Pizza for dessert.  That’s where we got really loud and laughed non stop for maybe half an hour!  I had my workout of the day.  I was in tears from hard laughter!  The dessert was delicious!  We actually ordered 4/5 desserts from the menu and just decided to share it amongst ourselves.  Awesome idea! I love the idea of being able to have a little bit of everything and trying everything out LOL

This was some Lemon cake thingy.  I forgot what it’s called.  But I’m loving the swirls as decor on the side.  It looks too pretty to eat.

 

Chocolate brownie, with vanilla ice-cream.  Ok I can care less about the ice cream… but who doesn’t love a soft, gooey, chocolatie warm brownie melting in their mouth?? Drooling yet? hahaha

Apple crumble… This one was probably my favourite of the four!  I think it’s because I love apples!  mmmm I want some more! hahaha

Feeling Creative + MAC Studio Sculpt

I’m going to a friend’s birthday party today.  I felt a bit creative with her gift. It’s nothing special, but it’s the thought that counts right?  I went ‘candy’ shopping at T&T hehe.  I bought a bunch of stuff, and decided to put together a goody bag for her along with her actual gift.  =]  So… at the candy aisle… I find hello kitty candy! How cute!

 

Ok… I got a little excited and opened the bag before remembering to take  photo of it! LOL  Anyway… I find that little hello kitty box thing inside! So cool! It can stand up hehe.  I was inspired by cupcakes… actually I was craving some sweets… as alwasy… haha…  instead of buying a birthday card… I came up with this:

 

I needed to use a glue gun to get the cupcake ‘cups’ to stick hehe.  Making this was a great break from studying =]

My look for dinner… I used MAC’s Studio Sculpt today.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!  I can’t get over how FLAWLESS my face looks!! I used MAC 109 brush to apply it. =].  The weather’s lovely today.  Nice and sunny… and NOT hot, with a nice breeze.  My favourite!  I love how my skin is ‘pale’ right now.  The MAC MA matched me with NC25.  So… my NC35 stuff will have to wait until summer again haha.

 

 

I was waiting for the boyfriend to come out.  So camera whoring in the car.  Hahaha
